40k is next on the agenda for /storytiem/!
The Hell and Holy Water game has reached a natural cliff-hanger, so I'm going to leave it for a while and focus on Bogwarts and the new 40k game.
Cool! What does it play like?
The game will be very different to any storytiem we've played before. In this game you will control a squad of up to four Sisters of Battle, undertaking missions and waging a guerrilla war on a planet being ravaged by a Rapeanid invasion. In between missions you will return to your squad's base. This will be a focal point of the game which can be upgraded with better defences, new buildings, and improved facilities so long as you have the resources.
Sounds fun! Is there any customisation?
You bet your ass there is! As the game progresses you will find new characters to join your Battle Conclave, rare weapons, and even acquire iconic vehicles from the 40k universe to transport your Sisters into battle. This will give you the opportunity to customise your squad in between missions. Perhaps you want to replace your some of your Boltguns with a heavier weapon to deal with larger Rapeanid beasts. Perhaps you want to only bring along one or two Sisters to make your unit stealthier while you attempt to assassinate a Rapeanid synapse creature.
But, what happens if a character is defeated?
If one of your squadmates is made to orgasm during a battle they will be 'downed' and unable to do anything but fire meekly with their pistol if they have one. At this point several things can happen:
A.) You win the battle.
If you win the battle then you will be able to take them back to your base and let them recover.
B.) You retreat from the battle.
If you retreat you may be able to rescue the fallen squadmate. If you fail to save them though they will become a prisoner of the Rapeanids.
C.) You aren't quick enough.
Battles can be hectic affairs. If during a fight one of your squad mates is downed they may be grabbed by an eager Rapeanid and dragged away from the field of battle. In this case they will become a prisoner too.
Interesting... but what happens if the character I play as is downed or captured?
If your character is captured or downed you will have the opportunity to continue as any other character you want. The choice is yours. This character will be promoted to a Squad Leader and you will continue the game from there.
Can I get back lost characters?
Yes! But you'll have to locate where they are being held first, then launch a rescue mission to try and recover them.
What about Imperial Guard/Space Marines/Other Alien Races?
Throughout the game you will gain Fervour points for completing missions, killing larger Rapeanid monsters, and generally doing anything awesome. This Fervour is a resource that can be spent calling in a wide variety of support to help you in battle. I'm not gonna spoil too much, but here area a few of the options you will be able to call in:
-Call in an Astra Militarum mortar barrage.
-Request an evac Valkyrie.
-Call in Vulture gunship support.
-Request Chapter Support: Space Marine Drop Pod.
Is there guro?
Nope! The only gore in this game will be you killing the bugs invading the planet. All enemy attacks are sexual. If a Sister is forced to climax they are downed and will need medical care to calm them down.
Will we see Orcs/Chaos/Eldar etc.?
I'm not giving away everything! You'll have to find out when you play.
